Installing Telegram on macOS in four short steps

The Mac App Store version is the default recommendation because it keeps itself updated. Users on older macOS releases can still fall back to the .dmg build hosted on macos.telegram.org.

    Click the Mac App Store button above. macOS asks for your Apple ID password before it downloads the .dmg or .pkg bundle.

    For the notarised .dmg build, drop Telegram.app into /Applications. macOS Gatekeeper verifies the developer signature automatically.

    On first launch, allow notifications, contacts and (optionally) camera access. Skip contacts if you sync via QR code from iPhone.
